The Datsun Heritage Museum opened in September to coincide with Mr. K's 99th birthday. Part of its mission is to bring Datsun enthusiasts together and provide a venue for events like the SoCal Roadster Owners Club's (SoCalROC) Car Show.
The gathering welcomed all types of Datsuns, from roadsters to Z-cars, 510s to 620 pickups. Entry to both the museum and the car show were free, as long as attendees brought along a toy for charity. Plenty of gifts were collected, going to a local children's hospital afterwards.
The History Of the Datsun Heritage Museum
The Datsun Heritage Museum is really the brainchild of Fred Jordan. Fred was the Sales Manager for one of the first DATSUN Dealership in the US. Fred also founded the Z Car Club of the Inland Valley (ZCCIV) and has had a very close relationship with Mr. K for decades.
Fred is first and foremost a "DATSUN Enthusiast", and perhaps one of people in the US with the longest personal history with the marque. (he started at a very young age).
The Datsun Heritage Museum is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and preservation of the history and the products relating to Datsun/Nissan.
